Most of the touring motor gliders used in Hungary are the Scheibe Falke type, and the SF-25 is the most common type among them. The aircraft was designed by Egon Scheibe in the early 1970s, and approximately 300 were produced. The aircraft has enclosed cockpit with two side-by-side seats, and powered by various engines 48 to 60 kW (depending on variants). There were built variants by one and two main landing gear as well, but the version by one main landing gear is more common with its so called supporting gear technic. Maneuvering on the ground is happening by its tail wheal. The aircraft can be flown by possessing TMG license, which can be obtained under 45 flight hours. It is ideal for beginners and hobby pilots, because of its simple operation and low costs.

It is suitable for:

  • pilot training
  • aerial photography
  • hobby
